Howard County Police are investigating a fatal traffic collision involving four vehicles that occurred in Jessup on Friday afternoon. According to authorities, a 2017 Hyundai Sonata, which was later confirmed stolen, was traveling on Guilford Road when it attempted to pass a 2021 Tesla Model Y by crossing the double yellow line. The Tesla was in the process of making a left turn onto Twelve Sons Court at the time.

The Hyundai side-swiped the Tesla, then struck a 2010 Honda Fit, before colliding head-on with a 2021 Honda Civic. During the chaos, four juveniles who were in the Hyundai fled the scene on foot. One of the juveniles sustained injuries and was transported to Shock Trauma in serious condition, while the remaining three suspects are still at large.

Authorities confirmed that the Hyundai involved in the crash was stolen. The driver of the Honda Civic, a woman, was pronounced dead after being transported to a nearby hospital. No other injuries were reported among the other individuals involved.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police have not yet filed charges. Efforts are currently focused on locating the suspects who fled the scene, and authorities are reviewing surveillance footage and evidence to determine further details about the incident.
