Erin Levitas Foundation Hosts Sixth Annual 'Stroll and Roll' to Combat Sexual Violence

The Erin Levitas Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness about sexual violence prevention. This Saturday marks the sixth annual event of its kind, the "Stroll and Roll," held at Camden Yards.

The foundation was established in memory of Erin Levitas, a young woman who survived sexual violence but tragically passed away from a rare cancer just a month shy of her 23rd birthday in 2016. Her mother, Wende Levitas, who serves as the foundation's founder and president, shared heartfelt reflections on her daughter’s legacy. "I think she would be proud of us," she said. "As I always say, she left me to fill her shoes, even though my foot's bigger. I still can't fill them completely, but I know she's sitting there cheering us on and urging us to do more."

The annual event aims to foster community involvement and support efforts to prevent sexual violence through awareness and education. Participants gather to walk and roll together in a collective effort to address this critical issue.

For more information, community members are encouraged to reach out to the foundation for details on the event and ongoing initiatives.
