It was an exciting day for students at Hampton Elementary School as they participated in their second annual Touch-A-Truck event and Career Day.

The event featured representatives from 20 different professions, offering students a unique opportunity to explore various career paths. Among the participating organizations was WMAR, alongside local police and fire departments, providing hands-on experiences and demonstrations.

Ally Hughes, a councilor at Hampton Elementary School, expressed enthusiasm about the event, saying, "I love the excitement that the children get, even for careers that you might think they wouldn't engage with or might find confusing."

Hughes also mentioned that the school encourages professionals interested in showcasing their jobs at future events to reach out and participate, helping inspire the next generation.
