Graphic police body-worn camera footage has been released depicting a fatal officer-involved shooting in Cambridge that occurred last month. The incident unfolded after officers responded to reports of a naked man chasing a woman with a knife near Seaway Lane and Riverside Wharf.

Upon arrival, police encountered 30-year-old Ryan Garcy. Corporal Jacob Weber, one of the officers on scene, instructed Garcy to drop the knife if he wanted to talk. Garcy responded with expletives and told Weber to "just shoot me already." Weber replied that he was not going to shoot him and asked for Garcy's name. As Garcy began to advance towards Weber, still agitated, he continued to ignore commands.

With his taser drawn, Weber ordered Garcy to stay back. Instead of complying, Garcy became more aggressive and charged at the officers. Faced with an armed suspect charging at him, Weber attempted to retreat but was compelled to use his firearm, shooting Garcy as he closed in. The video captures the incident from three different officers' perspectives, including Weber's.

The footage concludes with officers administering first aid to Garcy, who was later pronounced dead at the scene. Fortunately, no officers were injured during the confrontation. The release of this footage provides a graphic but transparent view of the events that transpired during this deadly encounter.
